- What should I expect at a comprehensive eye exam?
- A comprehensive exam takes about 45–60 minutes and includes a review of your vision and medical history, refraction for glasses or contacts, binocular vision testing, eye-pressure and glaucoma screening, and a dilated or digital retinal exam to evaluate overall eye health. Bring your current glasses, contact lenses, insurance card, and a list of medications.
- How much does an eye exam cost?
- With most vision plans, a routine comprehensive exam is covered in full or with a small copay. Without insurance, a comprehensive exam is a flat self-pay fee — call the office for the current price. Contact-lens fittings and specialty testing (such as dry-eye or OptiLight evaluations) are billed separately; we always review pricing before any additional services.
- Do you accept my insurance?
- Yes — we accept most major medical and vision plans, including VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, Anthem, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, and Medicaid. Coverage varies by plan, so please have your card ready when you call and we'll verify your specific benefits before your visit.

- Yes. We fit soft daily, bi-weekly, and monthly disposables, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocal contacts for presbyopia, and specialty options including scleral and rigid gas-permeable lenses for keratoconus, dry eye, or hard-to-fit prescriptions. A contact-lens evaluation is separate from a glasses exam and includes trial lenses, training for new wearers, and a follow-up to confirm fit and comfort.

- Call (502) 882-1442 during office hours to book, reschedule, or ask about a prescription. You can also request an appointment online through our patient portal, and after-hours urgent eye concerns are routed to the on-call doctor.
